OUR CARING FOUNDER

Professional expertise, personal devotion.

Kai George

Founder & Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

Kai George founded Kiddie Wear after seeing children in the community wearing torn clothes and recognizing the deep need for accessible, compassionate support. What began as a simple idea to help local families grew into an actionable safe space where kids receive both essential apparel and expert emotional care. Kai understands the challenges parents and caregivers face when trying to find non-judgmental guidance and practical resources for their children.

As our Founder and a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist, Kai brings professional expertise, gentle guidance, and individualized care to every family who walks through our doors. Clients and community members value Kai as a dedicated advocate who listens without judgment, ensuring young people feel understood, supported, and empowered to build lasting confidence in everyday life.

Every child deserves clothes that fit and care that empowers

Kiddie Wear provides free children’s clothing, one-on-one therapy support, and life-skills workshops for youth in Washington, DC. We serve parents, caregivers, social workers, and schools seeking compassionate resources for young people in need.

Through our Free Kids' Clothing Program, Child & Adolescent Therapy Support, Kids' Confidence & Communication Workshops, and Kids' Dressing & Personal Care Workshops, we ensure no child goes without essential attire or emotional guidance—never selling products, but relying entirely on community donations, volunteers, and local drives to keep all services completely free.

Every child deserves a safe space to grow and feel valued

Kiddie Wear exists to remove financial barriers to basic necessities, protect child mental well-being, and foster personal independence. We equip young people with clean apparel, professional emotional counseling, and practical life skills so they can speak confidently, care for themselves, and face everyday life with dignity.

We ensure that every child who walks through our doors is listened to, understood, and supported without judgment, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
