Volunteer & Professional Opportunities

Volunteer & Professional Opportunities invite community members and mental health professionals to stand alongside children and families in very practical ways. If you have time, skills, or specialist training to share, we welcome you into this circle of care.
As a general volunteer, you might help with clothing sorting and distribution-checking donated items, arranging sizes, and creating a warm, "store-like" space where children can choose outfits they actually like. During seasonal clothing donations, such as winter coat events or back-to-school drives, volunteers also help set up displays, guide families through the space, and restock items so nobody feels rushed or overlooked. We provide clear guidance and gentle training so you always know what to do and how to interact with children respectfully. Tasks can be adapted to different comfort levels; some volunteers prefer behind-the-scenes work, while others enjoy greeting families.
Licensed mental health professionals have another meaningful way to help: by donating time for focused emotional support or short blocks of child therapy. These hours extend our capacity to sit with children who are facing grief, anxiety, family changes, or school difficulties. We handle coordination carefully, so boundaries, ethics, and confidentiality are maintained.
For students or early-career professionals, there may be opportunities to support workshops, help prepare materials, or assist with research and resource development under supervision.
By joining us, you are not just "filling a slot." You are helping children feel seen when they pick out a new outfit, reassuring a parent who is nervous to ask for help, and strengthening a community that cares for its youngest members.
If you are interested, let us know what kind of time and skills you can offer, and we will work together to find a role that fits you and honours our families' needs.
