Kids' Confidence & Communication Workshops

Our Kids' Confidence & Communication Workshops help children find their voice, feel proud of themselves, and build friendships that last. These small group sessions are gentle and fun, designed for kids who might be shy, anxious, talk nonstop, or simply unsure how to join in with others.

Across the workshops, we cover three main areas: clear speaking, kind listening, and healthy self-esteem. Children practise effective speaking for kids through games, role-plays, and short, low-pressure activities that show them how to share ideas without freezing or mumbling. We also include active listening skills, where kids learn to look at the speaker, wait their turn, and respond in a way that makes others feel heard. A big part of each group is self-worth. In our self-esteem building activities, children learn to notice their strengths, handle mistakes, and talk to themselves in a more encouraging way. We use age-appropriate stories, drawing, and conversation building exercises to show that everyone feels nervous sometimes and that confidence can grow with practice.

The workshops are guided by a child and adolescent mental health specialist, so emotional safety comes first. Kids are never forced to perform. They can choose how much they join in, and we celebrate small steps, such as making eye contact, asking a question, or speaking in front of a partner for the first time.

For parents and caregivers, these workshops offer more than "public speaking practice." They give children practical tools they can use at school, in activities, and at home-asking for help, making new friends, handling disagreements, and standing up for themselves without being unkind.

Whether your child is very quiet or very outspoken, these sessions help them communicate in a way that feels respectful, confident, and true to who they are.
